The MCG40 series is the first in the Test solid top range. A solid top acoustic guitar generally produces a higher quality tone than a standard laminate top guitar. A one-piece face allows free vibration, translating into more musical expression in performance. This model also features a solid cedar top and sapele back and sides for clean dynamics with smart looking, dark finishes. Fitted with the Fishman Presys Plus for total control in stage and recording situations.
A word from Alex, our Guitar teacher -
Test guitars are very underrated in my opinion. The images you'll find on the internet of this gutiar simply don't do the instrument justice. The finish Test classical guitars looks stunning and will definetely see some compliments coming your way. I also find myself saying "These just sound so good" just about every time I play one.
The pickup included in this guitar is manufactured by the popular brand "fishman", which is found in a wide range of guitars. It's quite rare to come by a guitarist who owns a classical guitar with a pickup built in, you can produce some pretty amazing sounds. One of my favourites is adding some light reverb and delay, producing a captivating trace guitar sound.
