What is Bandwidth?

Bandwidth is the amount of data transferred via upload and download between your website and its users. Each time a user views your website they download all the images and content on pages, which consume some bandwidth allowance. Bandwidth allowance is also consumed when you send an e-mail campaign which includes embedded images or attached files.

How to Reduce Bandwidth Usage:

1. Reduce the file size of large images. Note that in most cases Oncord serves optimized, compressed images to reduce bandwidth usage and improve page speed. However very large images will still consume more bandwidth.
2. Host video externally, with a service such as YouTube. Videos hosted via YouTube do not consume your bandwidth allowance.
3. Host large PDF documents or files externally, rather than uploading them to Oncord. Then simply link to the external file.
